L I A N N E
For this project, I photographed letter forms spelling out my first name, Lianne. For most of the pictures, such as the 'L' and the second 'N', I had to really crop the image in order to expose the letter. The object was so small that the camera couldn't possibly zoom in enough for it to show. I think the 'A' or 'N' was an interesting composition because of what the subject is. The A is triangular hole in a ceramic piece, and the N was formed coils in a ceramic piece as well. These are little details build with clay, which ultimately form a bigger object, often not seen individually. All of my letter forms are not of legit letters, and follow an abstract theme. If I had to repeat this assignment, I would spell my last name to finish the project. I'd photograph those photos in another art room or a location where there is a lot of art, or unique, abstract objects, to present the theme of abstraction or confusion/illusions.
